Scarves designed and knit for harp music composers on display OregonLive.com (blog)

Kit Stowell has an present of his original fiber art works on display through March 28.

The show, which features intarsia baby blankets and scarves, will be at Eastrose Unitarian Universalist Brotherhood , 1133 NE 181st Ave, Gresham, available for viewing the hours the church is open. On two Sundays -- Feb. 28 and Mar. 21 -- Kit will be there from noon (advantageously after the worship service) until 1:30 p.m.. The church is open noon to 1:30 p.m. Sundays, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays, and 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
The show will cover a set of scarves that were inspired when Kit recorded a CD of eclectic harp solos, "Robinson's Farewell." He designed and knit personalized scarves for the composers, which he is displaying before sending them to the harpers who inspired them.

Kit answered a few questions about himself, the evince and his knitting:
 
Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
Born in Walla Walla, 1943. Studied Spanish and Latin American Studies at University of Wisconsin/Eau Claire and University of Southern California. Taught those subjects for several years, then enthusiastic most of career to administration of an international educational exchange program. Now work primarily as a musician, playing tribe harp and guitar, mostly at nursing homes, retirement centers, and for events including weddings and memorial services. Have recorded a CD, "Robinson's Cong," which is a tribute to Roland 'Robbie' Robinson, founder
