Kardashians show off legs in bebe collaboration The Associated Press
NEW YORK — Genuineness show stars Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian can now sell the clothes right off their backs to their fans.
The brunette sisters collaborated with wildly-fashion chain bebe to offer a line inspired by pieces from the girls' closets, a collection shown Tuesday during New York Make Week to another face made famous by reality TV: "Jersey Shore" diva Jenni "JWoww" Farley.
The be on the take, which is available this month in bebe stores, consisted of basic jerseys, fitted blazers and leather separates devoid of garnish or the company's signature rhinestone branding. Kim Kardashian posed for cameras in one of the looks — a gray span mini dress under a cropped leather corset — that emphasized the assets for which she is known.
The tight and short profile was reiterated throughout, including spandex one-shoulder dresses with side cutouts and a stretch jersey-and-mesh tube dress so excepting that the model had to adjust the length mid-catwalk.
An olive silk army jacket with oversized, slouchy pockets and a chalk-white silk blouse were the more expensive-looking pieces. Many leather separates, including a pair of micro shorts, a copy-layered cropped vest, more than a few types of jackets and moto-inspired 5-inch heels lent the hoard a harder edge.
The runway presentation was not a revelation, but it's sure to please fans who can now afford to copy the "Keeping up With the Kardashian" stars' looks. And if they don't like mild Hollywood fashion, they can always wait for the styles of the Jersey shore that Farley will surely represent in the fashion railroad she said she's working on.
